Individual Hypnotherapy Sessions

Sessions are ~60 minutes. Individual sessions are tailored to the unique goals of the person using a combination of hypnosis, brain entrainment, behavioral strategies, and meridian tapping, as suitable to the situation.

  • Cognitive (thought) and behavioral (action) techniques: self-hypnosis, goal setting, reading educational materials, etc.
  • Brain Entrainment: a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s frequency following response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat. This frequency following response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will "entrain" to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure. On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states, such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)/Meridian Tapping:a bilateral brain reprogramming technique that involves tapping on the body's meridian points while inculcating helpful verbal messages.

Couples/2-Person Hypnotherapy Sessions

Sessions are ~60 minutes. Sessions are tailored to a common goal of the couple/partners/friends using a combination of hypnosis, brain entrainment, behavioral strategies, and meridian tapping, as suitable to the situation.  It can be especially helpful when two people are trying to lose weight, quit smoking, etc. to do it together. Partners/friends can bolster success when they have a common goal!

At Insight Hypnotherapy, LLC, we do not practice medicine or prescribe drugs.  Hypnotherapy is not intended to be a replacement for medical or mental healthcare. Hypnotherapy is a complementary treatment. It is offered as a non-medical, non-chemical, non-invasive alternative to promote change and wellness.

Note: Those under the care of a physician should not ignore their doctor’s advice for medical problems. Consult with your physician before making changes in his/her prescribed treatment.

Insight Hypnotherapy, LLC uses different types of Hypnosis to help set specific goals, give suggestions to achieve them and overcome personal challenges. In Hypnosis, you cannot be made to do anything that you do not truly desire to do. You are in control at all times. The success of this process depends on your participation and willingness to make changes. Wonderful changes can happen, if you truly desire them.

There are times when one hypnotherapy session can be effective in achieving your goal. However, hypnosis is a tool, and it may be unrealistic to expect lasting results in just one session. Sometimes multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired effect.

Your attempt may fail but never fail to make an attempt!

As my friend was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from the ropes they were tied to but for some reason, they did not. My friend saw a trainer nearby and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away.

“Well,” he said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.” My friend was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?

How many of us are being held back by old, outdated beliefs that no longer serve us? How many of us have avoided trying something new because of a limiting belief? Worse, how many of us are being held back by someone else’s limiting beliefs?

Whatever you can conceive and believe, you can achieve!
CHOOSE not to accept the false boundaries and limitations created by the past.
