2020 was a year unlike any other and we were faced with a host of challenges and obstacles unlike anything that we have ever had to put up with before. As we near the end of the first month of 2021, it has a lot of us thinking about just what we can do to make this year better than the last. Whether it is to do with work, home or our own personal goals, there are many things we can do to try and improve our lives. Here are just a few tips that might help to point you in the right direction. Tackle your fears If you have a fear in your life, then there is no time like the present to get it tackled. If you have a fear of flying, why not enroll in an online course to help combat this? If you are scared of needles and getting an injection, why not speak to a psychologist? Scared of commitment? Try and battle through this. Often our fears can hold us back and with the right communication and treatment we can get these dealt with. Make this your year to do so. |
Set yourself a resolution to try something new every month
The year has eleven months left in it, so why not make each month an opportunity? You can take each month and try something completely new. This could be something as simple as a new food that you have never tried before, taking up a new hobby or wearing something different. Whatever it is, it is a great way to get you out of your comfort zone and tick something off your bucket list!
Stop putting things off that you want to do
Whether it is to get fit, learn to play an instrument, or start a new business, make this the year that you actually do that thing you keep putting off. The only thing stopping you from achieving something is you, so make sure that you don’t stand in your way. Draw up a plan and write down what it is you want to achieve and how you will get there. Why not enroll yourself in some courses that can help you to achieve your goal? Whatever it is that you want to do, even if it doesn’t work out in the end, at least you will know you have tried.
Be kinder to yourself
We are all our own worst enemy sometimes. Why not make a conscious effort to be nicer to yourself? Before thinking any negative thoughts about yourself or your body, think of how you would speak to other people. If it is something you wouldn’t dare to say to someone else, then don’t say it to yourself. You deserve your own respect too!
