Reduce Inflammation In Your Body

Inflammation is one of those health issues that most of us have probably suffered from at one time or another, although many of us will not have even realized it. It is, in very general terms, the body’s response to something it thinks is an “irritant.” It can cause us to feel pain, fatigue, cause headaches, and often leads to flu-like symptoms.  The good news is, there are numerous things you can do to reduce inflammation in your body right now…

Eat more salad

A really easy way to fight inflammation and improve your health is by adding a daily side salad to your dinner. Leafy greens like spinach and kale are packed with bioactive compounds and antioxidants that have anti-inflammatory properties. Eating as many of them as you can every day will make a huge difference in how good you feel.

Try CBD

CBD is one of those products that is proving very popular to help with inflammation. As CBD may be able to have an impact inflammation through the endocannabinoid system (ECS) in our body, we could feel the benefits pretty soon.

Try fasting with food

Fasting has been known to act as a reset for the body, helping to reverse the effects of inflammation, boost the immune system, and get the body functioning on all cylinders once again. Of course, few of us could manage fasting on just water for very long. As well as dealing with your inflammation it could help you to heal your gut, ditch excess weight, and heal old injures too.

Get more sleep

Going to bed early may be less tempting than binging on Netflix or reading an extra chapter of that really great book you’re into, but if you’re serious about ridding your body of inflammation, you really do need to get your beauty sleep.

Ideally, you should aim to get 7-9 hours of solid sleep, anything less than that has been known to trigger inflammation even in otherwise healthy individuals. If you struggle, try spritzing your pillow with lavender oil or drinking a cup of chamomile tea. You may even want to try a herbal sleep remedy.

Take a walk

Doing any exercise is great for your body and may help with inflammation, but if you’re used to being sedentary, you should definitely start by walking briskly for around 30 minutes a day. Why? Because this kind of gentles exercise is less likely to cause stress on your joints, which could in itself lead to inflammation, but it is good enough to reduce inflammatory blood markers and help you to feel better.  Fresh air and nature are great for your physical and mental well-being too.

Spice up your life

Spicy foods and drinks like chai tea and curry are great for showing inflammation the door. Spices like garlic, cinnamon, and turmeric not only have inflammation-reducing properties, but they can also help to boost the immune system and, in some cases, protect against heart disease, cancer, and other more serious illnesses.

As you can see, reducing inflammation in your body could be easier than you think, If you’re tired of feeling tired and achy, try the above and see how you feel!
